Frequently Asked Questions
How much do you charge?
- A one hour workshop is £200 and two hours is £300.
- Half day training is £400 and full day is £800.
- School day rate is £300 and a one off lesson is £75.
Do you offer online/virtual training?
Yes! Due to changing times I am able to offer training via Zoom or Teams. I attended training at the beginning of the pandemic to ensure my facilitation is as good online as it is in person. Watch this video, to hear the benefits of learning online https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGAj3m1YvB4
What makes you different from other training providers?
Not only do I have the professional experience, but also the personal experience of all the courses I deliver either through myself, friends or family members. I also aim to make training events as informal and fun as possible even if they are depressing and morbid subjects!
My training methods include bingo, crosswords, wordsearches, short videos, game quizzes, anything else interactive and plenty of prizes! All delegates receive training resources and an USB stick for the organisation with extra resources to take back to their work place.
How much notice do I need to give if I have to cancel?
I recognise on occasions, you may need to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances and I ask that you give me as much notice where possible. Notice exceeding 5 working days will not require full payment.
What is your procedure if you have to cancel?
I am committed to offering a high quality service that meets the needs of my customers and very rarely, circumstances may arise which will result in the need to cancel. In this incident, I will take quick and active steps to inform you as soon as possible by phone and/or email. Where I do have to cancel an event that you have already paid for, I will offer you a full refund. For the record, I have never cancelled any training in 10 years!
What is your confidentiality statement?
This service seeks to support young people and vulnerable adults to encourage them to make informed lifestyle choices. In the process of working with service users I aim to protect them from harm, either from themselves or other people. For their well-being I may need to inform other professionals if concerns are raised but I will always discuss this with the service user to help them understand why this is the case.
Are you prepared to work evenings and weekends?
Of course! Working unsociable hours is something I actually enjoy and any work you book is totally organised around your needs and around your working hours.
How many people can attend a day training course?
I recommend up to 15 people for an in person course and lots more for online learning depending on how interactive you want the sessions.
What agencies have you worked with?
Who haven’t I worked with!? I have worked with a number of organisations including schools, colleges, children services, sexual health, adult services, trading standards, the prison service, the police, youth offending teams, the probation service, the courts, children centres, leisure centres, housing, drug intervention teams, rehabilitation centres, local authorities, churches and more. More recently, I have worked with more corporate clients including Sunseeker and Microsoft.
If I wanted to book training, how much notice do I need to give?
The more notice the better but I have been known to fill in for last minute cancellations from other agencies the day before an event! I think having at least 2 weeks notice is feasible. Some agencies book me up to a year in advance but I am totally flexible on what works for you.
Can I customise training packages to cover a number of subjects?
Yes no problem at all. I understand that I must always cater to the specific requirements of the agency paying for my services and that the training has to adapt to the clients you are working with.
What distance are you prepared to travel?
Distance is negotiable and over night expenses will be applied where necessary. Most of my work is in Hampshire and Dorset but I love seeing other parts of England so just ask if you need me to travel outside of these areas. I have worked as far as Lincoln for just a day so always worth an ask!
Are you DBS checked?
Yes I have an up to date and enhanced DBS, a copy of which is available on request.
Can I obtain references of your previous work?
Yes again, this is available on request if desired. You can also check out my Testimonials page to see what my clients have to say.

I have worked frontline with young people, adults and families as well as in management roles working in all sectors. I have worked on an array of projects from drink spiking, healthy relationships, mind over matter programmes getting people in to exercise, coordinating conferences and staff away days, consultation work for local authorities and charities and of course, lots of training!
